AndrewAndrew is thirteen years old, and when he grows up, he wants to be happy. At school, while all the other boys are busy getting muddy, Andrew is very busy thinking. This is the best time for Andrew's thinking, because he knows that nobody will disturb him and cut up all his thoughts into ribbons and make them swirl around, so fast that he can't catch them again, no matter how very much he wants to and how very hard he tries. Once, when Andrew was doing his thinking, a foot stamped down next to his head (thinking is better when you are lying down, Andrew finds), and the foot belonged to a girl.
